Easements

Easements on state lands give the grantee partial interest, but not ownership, in the land as authorized under Chapter 3 of the Board of Land Commissioners' Rules and Regulations.

Easements may be granted for:

• • ditches

  • overhead wires

  • pipelines

  • railroads

  • reservoirs

  • public roads and highways

  • roadways to private land or residences

  • snow fences

  • underground cables

  • open spaces

  • and any other appropriate uses
