Special Use Leases

Special Use Leases (SULs) are for uses other than grazing, agricultural, the extraction of on lease minerals, those uses defined under easements or hunting, fishing or general recreation as defined by Chapter 13 of the State Board of Land Commissioners’ Rules and Regulations.  SULs are authorized under Chapter 5 of the State Board of Land Commissioners’ Rules and Regulations.

Some examples of special use leases are:

  • Cabin sites

  • Water wells for commercial or municipal use

  • Compressor Sites
